Theatre of Tragedy es una banda gótica nacida en Stavanger (Noruega), originalmente creada en 1993 y más conocida por sus primeros álbumes, del grupo hizo uso del contraste una voz grave masculina y una voz femenina de soprano (ex miembro: Liv Kristine) y es considerada una de las bandas pionera de la escena doom escandinava. Sin embargo, a partir del disco Musique, el grupo evoluciona hacía sonidos más propias del rock industrial y el Tanzmetal. Este album consiste en un sonido oscuro, atrapánte, erótico y encantador.
